Nativity of the Blessed Virgin

There has been no biblical account as to the birth of the Virgin Mother. Catholics around the world has celebrated every 8th of September as the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin.

Icons of the Blessed Mother were displayed on the mall this weekend. It belongs to different catholic devotees who believed that the presence of God in Mary’s life is fundamental to our salvation.

“She is the flower of the field from whom bloomed the precious lily of the valley. Through her birth the nature inherited from our first parents is changed.” -St.Augustine
